HB 278 -- CONVEYANCE IN ST. CHARLES COUNTY CO-SPONSORS: Davis (19), Parker COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Corrections and State Institutions by a vote of 14 to 0. This bill authorizes the Governor to convey a temporary construction easement in St. Charles County for the purpose of a public road right-of-way for the Knaust Road Improvement Project. The Governor is further authorized to convey certain state property along Knaust Road in St. Charles County for a public road right-of-way. Consideration for the conveyance will be the fair market value as determined by the Commissioner of Administration. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that Knaust Road in St. Charles County is considered dangerous due to its width and the high traffic volume. The bill would allow for the road to be widened and a storm sewer installed. Testifying for the bill were Representative Davis (19); and St. Charles County. OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee. Bob Dominique, Legislative AnalystCopyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
