This bill extends the expiration date for the federal reimbursement allowance for hospitals from September 30, 2004, to September 30, 2006. FISCAL NOTE: Estimated Net Effect on Federal Reimbursement Allowance Fund of $0 in FY 2004, FY 2005, and FY 2006. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill allows continuation of federal reimbursement for hospitals that was first instituted in 1992.
