Summary of the Committee Version of the Bill

HB 597 -- TOWNSHIP ROAD REPORT

CO-SPONSORS:  Schlottach, Threlkeld, Deeken, Goodman

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation and Motor Vehicles by a vote of 20 to 0.

This bill removes the requirement that the township clerk file a
copy of the township's fiscal and inventory report regarding
roads and bridges with the state Department of Transportation.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say the Department of Transportation no
longer needs township fiscal and inventory reports.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Schlottach; and
Department of Transportation.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
