HB 179 -- State Board of Public Records Sponsor: Bland This bill creates within the Office of Administration the State Board of Public Records to develop recommendations to monitor compliance with the Open Meetings and Records Law by political subdivisions. The board is to have subpoena power to view all records and is to determine if a central office dealing with citizen complaints is warranted. The board is to consist of seven members appointed by the Governor, of which no more than four are from the same political party.
