HB 439 -- Renewable Energy Sources Co-Sponsors: Lowe, Daus, Riback Wilson (25), Walker, Graham, Fraser This bill requires all suppliers of electricity to disclose information on generation attributes quarterly to customers and to others on request. By August 28, 2004, the Public Service Commission will develop rules for electrical corporations to present information in a standard format on the percentages of the corporation's electricity generated from biomass, coal, hydropower, natural gas, nuclear, oil, solar, wind, and other sources and on the corporation's emissions of carbon dioxide, nitrous oxides, sulfur dioxide, and nuclear waste. The bill also requires all retail suppliers of electricity to generate or purchase at least 0.25% of their electricity from renewable sources after 2004, 1.5% after 2007, 3% after 2010, and 6% from 2015 to 2025. The Department of Natural Resources, in consultation with the commission, will develop a certification process for renewable sources.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
