HB 486 -- Operator's License for Motorized Bicyclists Sponsor: Taylor This bill establishes an operator's license exclusively for the operation of a motorized bicycle. To obtain this license, a person must be at least 15 years old, pass a vision examination, and pass a written examination regarding highway signs and practical knowledge of the traffic laws of the state. Persons under 16 years old applying for a license must also successfully complete an approved motorized bicycle education course. Operators with this special license will be allowed to operate upon roadways of this state having a posted speed limit of not greater than 35 miles per hour. Holders of any other classification of driver's license may operate a motorized bicycle as otherwise authorized by law.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
