HB 507 -- Vaccinations for First Responders Co-Sponsors: Hubbard, Brooks, Parker, Kelly (36), Avery, Engler, Hoskins, Carnahan, El-Amin, Jetton, Cooper (155), Hanaway, Wildberger, Thompson, Lawson This bill requires the Department of Health and Senior Services to offer a vaccination program for first responders. The bill sets forth the vaccinations that must be offered to first responders. Participation in the vaccination program is voluntary for most first responders. A first responder may be exempt from vaccinations for medical or religious reasons. The department must give priority to first responders if there is a shortage of vaccine. Educational material regarding ways to prevent exposure must also be provided to first responders. The department may contract with other entities for the administration of vaccinations.
