HB 509 -- Physical Therapists

This bill allows physicians who have a pecuniary interest in a
physical therapy or rehabilitation facility to refer patients to
that facility.  The physician, however, must disclose to patients
the physician's financial interest in the facility and patients
are required to sign an acknowledgment stating they fully
understand the physician's financial interest and that they are
entitled to receive physical therapy or rehabilitation services
from any other provider.
