Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 537 -- Qualification to Vote

Co-Sponsors:  Dixon, Icet, Wallace, Richard, Wasson, Sander

Currently, a person on probation or parole upon conviction of a
felony cannot vote until discharged from probation or parole.
This bill requires any person convicted of a felony to be
pardoned, have his or her sentence commuted, or be granted a
reprieve before he or she can vote.
