HB 669 -- Corrections Personnel Sponsor: Black This bill creates the crime of endangering corrections personnel in the first, second, and third degree. Endangering corrections personnel in the third degree, a class D felony, occurs when an inmate in a correctional facility causes or attempts to cause a corrections officer to come into contact with an unidentified substance. The inmate commits the crime in the second degree, a class C felony, if he or she causes or attempts to cause a corrections officer to come in contact with any bodily fluid of the inmate. The inmate commits the crime in the first degree, a class B felony, when he or she causes or attempts to cause a corrections officer to become exposed to HIV or hepatitis by exposing the officer to the inmate's bodily fluids.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
