HB 726 -- Joint Committee on Tax Policy

This bill creates the Joint Committee on Tax Policy.

The committee will make a continuous study of current and
proposed tax policies of the state and make recommendations to
the full bodies of the respective houses.  The committee may also
examine state department policies and administrative practices
relating to tax policy and make recommendations to the
departments on their administration.

The committee will be comprised of five members each from the
House of Representatives and the Senate.  House members will be
appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives; Senate
members will be appointed by the President Pro Tem of the Senate.
No more than three members from each body may be members of the
same political party.
