Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 753 -- Science and Mathematics Education

Sponsor:  Avery

This bill creates the Collaborative for Applied Experiences in
Science Program, which consists of a summer employment program to
develop skills in mathematics, science, computer science, and
engineering administered by the Division of Job Development and
Training and a host institution of higher education.  In
selecting participants, preference will be given to successful
college students who reside in Missouri.  The program will offer
paid work experience.  Project sponsors may include, among
others, state agencies and units of local government,
community-based organizations, and corporations.
