HCS HB 253 -- PROTECTION ORDERS

Effective January 1, 2004, this bill eliminates any requirement
that petitioners for protection orders provide their Social
Security numbers on petitions or case documents.  The courts may
require petitioners to provide their number on confidential case
sheets.
