SCS HCS HB 392 -- FRANCHISE DEALERS

This bill requires franchisors, before granting a franchise to
establish or relocate a motorcycle or all-terrain vehicle
franchise within the market area of an existing franchise
representing the same line-make, to notify existing franchises in
the relevant market area and allows the existing franchisee to
file an action in court to determine whether good cause exists
for the establishment or relocation of the franchise.  The bill
does not apply to the reopening or replacement of a closed
dealership that has been closed in the preceding year or a
replacement franchisee that is within two miles of the
established place of business of the closed dealership.
