AN ACT
To amend chapter 252, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to fishing permits and licenses.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 252, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 252.250, to read as follows:
252.250. 1. The department of conservation shall not require persons or corporations sponsoring or conducting a fishing contest on any lake in the state of Missouri to obtain a permit or license if:
(1) The contest is part of a multistate fishing contest; and
(2) There is only one tagged fish with a value not less than one thousand dollars or more than one million dollars per lake participating in the multistate contest; and
(3) All fish are tagged by a representative of the sponsor in the presence of a representative from the department of conservation; and
(4) No fee or consideration is required to enter the contest; and
(5) Each participant in the contest possesses a fishing license; and
(6) The contest is completed in less than thirty days.
2. No person shall be required to obtain a fishing permit or license from the department of conservation to fish in this state on Father's Day, Mother's Day, and Grandparent's Day weekend.
