AN ACT
To repeal section 174.324, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof two new sections relating to Missouri Southern State College, with an expiration date for a certain section.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Section 174.324, RSMo, is repealed and two new sections enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as sections 174.324 and 174.326, to read as follows:
174.324. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, Missouri Western State College [and Missouri Southern State College] may offer master's degrees in accounting, subject to any terms and conditions of the Missouri state board of accountancy applicable to any other institution of higher education in this state which offers such degrees, and subject to approval of the coordinating board for higher education.
174.326. 1. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, Missouri Southern State College may offer:
(1) Master's degrees in accounting, subject to any terms and conditions of the Missouri state board of accountancy applicable to any other institution of higher education in this state which offers such degrees;
(2) Master's of science in business (MSB) degrees; and
(3) Master's of arts in teaching (MAT) degrees.
2. Any costs incurred with respect to the addition of the master's of science in business (MSB) degree and the master's of arts in teaching (MAT) degree at Missouri Southern State College shall not be paid from state general revenue funds.
3. The provisions of subsection 2 of this section shall expire August 28, 2008.<br><hr><br><a href=”https://house.mo.gov”><img src=”/graphics/home_btn.gif”>Missouri House of Representatives</a>
