AN ACT

To amend chapter 272, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to fences.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 272, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 272.202, to read as follows:

            272.202. Any state, county, or municipal law enforcement officer who observes or receives a report of a breach in fencing located on private property shall make a reasonable effort to ascertain the identity of the property owner and notify the owner of such breach in fencing.
