AN ACT

To amend chapter 219, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the sale of products made by youth in the custody of the division of youth services.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 219, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 219.023, to read as follows:

            219.023. Any products made by youth in a program or facility established by the division of youth services pursuant to section 219.021 which are suitable for sale may be offered for sale to the public by the division at a price not to exceed the actual cost of supplies and materials used in making such products. Any proceeds received by the division from the sale of products pursuant to this section shall be used solely to replenish the supply of materials used in making such products.
