AN ACT
To amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the designation of the month of March of each year for commemoration of Irish history.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 9.135, to read as follows:
9.135. The month of March of each year shall be known and designated as "Irish History Month". It shall be a month in which the rich history and culture developed by people of Irish descent shall be examined and commemorated. All teachers are encouraged to incorporate into classroom discussion any literature, pictures, artifacts, or historical documents relating to Irish culture and history to promote educational awareness of significant contributions by people of Irish descent.
