REP. JASON BROWN

92nd General Assembly

 

Rep. Jason Brown, a Republican, represents the 30th District which includes parts of Platte County, Kansas City, unincorporated Parkville, Weatherby Lake, Village of Farley, Platte City, Tracy, Dearborn, City of Edgarton, City of Camden Point, Village of Ridgely, Village of Ferrelview, and the unincorporated area of Platte County west of I-29 and north of I-435 except for the City of Weston. He was elected to the House in November 2002.

 

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Brown owns and operates a small business.  He is also the deacon at the First Christian Church of Platte City.  From 1998-2001 he worked as the public works director of Platte City.  He also serves in the United States Army Reserve as a staff sergeant and civil affairs specialist.  He has been in the military since 1989.  A veteran, Rep. Brown is a member of VFW Post 4055.

 

He is currently the Platte City representative for cities under 10,000 in population on the Mid-America Regional Council of Government (MARC), Solid Waste District Committee.

 

Rep. Brown earned a bachelor of science degree in government from Northwest Missouri State University in 1993, and master’s in public administration from Drake University in 1994.

 

Rep. Brown currently resides in Platte City with his wife, Rachelle, and two children:  Alayna and Caleb.
