Rep. Curt
Dougherty, a Democrat, represents part of Jackson County (District 53) in the
Missouri House of Representatives. He
was elected to the House in November 2002.
In addition to
his legislative duties, Rep. Dougherty has been an electrical contractor in
Independence for 15 years.
Rep. Dougherty
is a member of the following organizations:

First Assembly of God Church.
A 1975 graduate
of Lafayette High School, Rep. Dougherty attended N.S. Hillyard Technical
School studying electronics from 1973-75, and Missouri Western State College
studying electrical engineering and electronics from 1975-79.
Born December 13, 1956 in St. Joseph, Mo., Rep. Dougherty lives in Independence with his wife, Susan. They have three children: Melonie, Christina and Aaron.
