REP. DENNIS WOOD

92nd General Assembly

 

Rep. Dennis Wood, a Republican, represents a part of Stone and Taney counties (District 62) in the Missouri House of Representatives.  He was elected to his first term in November 2002.

 

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Wood has been a realtor for 25 years.  He has also worked as a builder in the Kimberling City area and has owned a number of apartments.

 

Rep. Wood is a member of the Rotary Club, where he served as past president and was named Rotarian of the Year in 1995.  He is also a deacon at the First Baptist Church, a past member of the board of directors for Youth Life, a past board of directors member of the Chamber of Commerce and an alderman in Kimberling City.

 

A 1963 graduate of Carlisle High School, Rep. Wood attended Cedarville College and Drake University.  He was born November 24, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa.

 

Rep. Wood lives in Kimberling City with his wife, Nellie Wood.  They have five adult children:  Korie, Kevin, Chad, Jason and Dusty, and three perfect grandchildren.
