REP. DAN WARD

92nd General Assembly

Rep. Dan Ward, a Democrat, represents part of St. Francois County (District 107) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Ward owns an insurance agency in his hometown of Bonne Terre, Mo.  He serves as a member of the state Insurance Commission and is also a member of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators, the Southern Legislative Conference and the National Conference of State Legislators. He is also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, BPO Elks, Samaritan Lodge #425 AF&AM, Mineral Area Elks, Big River Hills Eagles, Original St. Francois County Democratic Club, St. Francois Democratic Club, Inc., Terre Du Lac Democratic Organization, Ste. Genevieve Democratic Club and the Missouri Democratic Club.

Rep. Ward has sponsored legislation benefiting seniors, food pantries, Medicaid recipients, veterans, motorcycle riders, retired police officers, rural fire departments, the highway patrol and corrections officers. He was the recipient of the 90th General Assembly Outstanding Freshman Legislator award.

A 1970 graduate of North County High School, Rep. Ward has worked with the state of Missouri as an uniformed civilian employee and a police officer in Missouri and Florida.  He attended Mineral Area College, Jefferson College, the John F. Kennedy School of Government (2001), and earned his Life Underwriter Training.

Born January 29, 1951, in Jefferson County, Rep. Ward currently resides in Bonne Terre. He has four children: Christine, Alex, Benjamin and Kelsey.
