REP. B.J. MARSH

 

92nd General Assembly

 

Rep. B.J. Marsh, a Republican, represents part of Greene County (District 136) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

 

Rep. Marsh was originally elected to the House in 1988 and 1990, and was re-elected to his current term in November 2000.  He was appointed in 2003 as a commissioner for the Missouri Tourism Commission.

 

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Marsh is the owner of Marsh Travel Agency and Motorcoach Tours. Rep. Marsh is of the Protestant faith.

 

Rep. Marsh is a member of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce; St. John’s Hospital Advocate Board and Hospital Auxiliary, life member; and the American Bus Association.  He is a past member of the Southwest Missouri Official’s Association and the Missouri State High School Activities Association.  He also officiated high school and college basketball for 15 years.

 

A 1958 graduate of Greenfield High School, Rep. Marsh attended Southwest Missouri State University and graduated in 1960 from Weaver Airline Personnel School.

 

Born February 21, 1940 in Pennsboro, Rep. Marsh lives in Springfield. He has two children: Marty, who is married to Trish with two children: Mitchell J. and Madison Ann; and Monte, who is married to Kari, with one child: Owen Michael. His wife, Shirley, is deceased.
