HB 1029, HCA 1 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

SPONSOR:  Henke

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation and Motor Vehicles by a vote of 19 to 0.

This bill names the portion of State Highway J in Lincoln County
from the intersection of State Highway J and State Highway 47 to
the intersection of State Highway J and State Highway U as the
"Veterans Highway."

HCA 1 -- Makes a technical change.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and
FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will be a great tribute
to the many veterans in this area.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Henke.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
