HB 1107, HCA 1 -- TRANSPORTATION DISTRICTS

SPONSOR:  Crawford

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation and Motor Vehicles by a vote of 20 to 0.

This bill permits owners of property adjacent to transportation
districts to petition to be added to the district.

HCA 1 -- Allows new property to be added to a transportation
development district if the property owners within the
transportation district unanimously approve of the addition of
the property.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say this provision will be a big help for
developing districts.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Crawford; Southern
Platte County Transportation District; and THF Realty, Inc.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
