HB 1132 -- MISSOURI DAY SPONSOR: Skaggs COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Tourism and Cultural Affairs by a vote of 15 to 2. This bill changes the celebration of Missouri Day from the third Wednesday of October to May 8. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and FY 2007. PROPONENTS: Supporters say the month of May will be more appropriate and coincide with the birth date of President Truman. Testifying for the bill was Representative Skaggs.
