HB 1462 -- CONVEYANCE IN STODDARD COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Bean

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Local Government by a vote of 16 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey the National Guard
Armory located in Stoddard County to the City of Bernie.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and
FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the state no longer has a need
for the building, while the City of Bernie would like to use it
for a community center.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Bean.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
