HB 826 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY SPONSOR: Kelly (144) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Transportation and Motor Vehicles by a vote of 19 to 0. This bill designates a portion of State Highway A in Wright County as the "Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Highway." The bill stipulates that the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum will pay for all signage and that the signs will be installed and maintained by the Department of Transportation. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and FY 2007. PROPONENTS: Supporters say this will be a fitting memorial to a nationally known Missourian.
