HB 1138 -- A+ Schools Program

This bill changes the A+ Program from a tuition and book expense
reimbursement program to a loan repayment program for federal
Stafford loans used for tuition for programs at community
colleges, vocational-technical schools, and state four-year
colleges and universities.  Repayment of loans is conditioned
upon the student's completion of a program within a stated time
period.  If the student does not complete the program within that
period, the student must use his or her own funds to repay the
loan.
