HB 1250 -- Workers' Compensation

Under current workers' compensation law, the employer has the
right to select the licensed treating physician, surgeon,
chiropractic physician, or other health care provider for the
employee.  This bill adds a network of providers and licensed
registered nurses functioning as medical case managers to that
list.  The bill also clarifies that regardless of whether an
insurer has entered into an alternative fee agreement with a
particular managed care organization, it must still reimburse a
managed care organization that has contracted with the employer.

The bill contains penalty provisions.
