HB 1354 -- State Legal Expense Fund

This bill adds medical professionals providing services in county
jails and attorneys practicing pro bono at tax-exempt, nonprofit
community social service centers to those eligible for coverage
from the State Legal Expense Fund.  The Attorney General is
authorized to promulgate rules regarding contract procedures and
documentation of legal practice of attorneys covered by the fund.

The bill prohibits any one claimant from receiving more than
$500,000 from the fund.
