HB 1406 -- Missouri School Improvement Program

This bill permits fully accredited school districts with more
than 5,000 students to obtain a waiver from the Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education permitting the district to
choose its own accreditation standards if the district has
maintained five consecutive years of full accreditation under
state standards and can demonstrate through valid methods that
its students are attaining reasonable standards.  This waiver
procedure supersedes other waiver rules.
