HB 1481 -- Adoption Awareness

Current law requires the Department of Social Services to raise
public awareness and educate the public about foster care and
adoption.  This bill allows the department to do this, but does
not require it.  The bill also allows the department to establish
an advertising campaign to recruit adoptive and foster care
families, and requires it to establish a 24-hour, toll-free
number to assist persons who inquire about becoming adoptive or
foster parents.
