HB 1484 -- Planning and Zoning

This bill allows temporary planning commissions for
unincorporated areas specified by the county commission.  The
temporary plan will affect only the specified area and will not
become permanent until approved by the voters.  The members of
the temporary area planning commission will be the highway
engineer, one person appointed by the county commission, and
three residents of the specified area.  If the plan is approved
by the voters, a three-member area planning commission is elected
at the next countywide election.  The county highway engineer is
an ex officio member of the area planning commission.
