HB 1497 -- Customer Call Centers

This bill prohibits the Commissioner of the Office of
Administration from contracting telemarketing or telephone center
services from vendors who employ persons not authorized to work
in the United States or perform these services from outside the
United States.  Vendors are required to submit information
certifying that their employees or subcontractors are authorized
to work in the United States and that all work will be conducted
in the United States.  A person who files false information is
guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
