HB 1707 -- Small Business Employee Training Program

This bill establishes the Small Business Employee Training
Program to be administered by the Division of Workforce
Development within the Department of Economic Development.  The
program is to assist expanding small businesses with training or
retraining employees.

The bill also creates the Missouri Small Business Employee
Training Fund into which any moneys appropriated by the General
Assembly or received as gifts; contributions; grants; or bequests
received from federal, private, or other sources may be
deposited.  The department will issue rules governing the
awarding of reimbursement from the fund and submit reports to the
General Assembly.

The provisions of the bill will expire four years from the
effective date.
