HB 1761 -- Contributions to the Department of Elementary and
Secondary Education

This bill creates a method to donate $5, $10, or $25 of an
individual's or corporation's income tax refund to the Department
of Elementary and Secondary Education's State Public School Fund.
The bill also permits separate donations to be sent in with the
payment of taxes.  When the total of contributions reaches $1
million, moneys may be distributed to the school districts
indicated on the tax forms.  The funds will not be distributed
through the funding formula.
