HB 1768 -- Pregnancy Prevention

Sponsor:  Sager

This bill requires the Department of Social Services to establish
an Abstinence First Pregnancy Prevention Program.  Moneys
appropriated by the General Assembly will be used to teach
responsible behavior to students in public schools.  The program
is required to emphasize the importance of preventing pregnancy
and disease, methods of prevention, and the 100% effectiveness of
abstinence.

The provisions of the bill will expire six years from the
effective date.
