HB 1769 -- No-Excuse Absentee Voting

Sponsor:  Carnahan

This bill allows absentee voting for any reason from 14 days
before an election until 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday before the
election at the office of the election authority and up to four
other designated polling places.  The election authority must
post the hours, dates, and locations for absentee voting.  The
election authorities are to be paid by the state in advance to
cover the additional expenses.

The bill contains an emergency clause.
