HB 768 -- Assault of Corrections Personnel

Sponsor:  Ward

This bill creates the crime of assault of corrections personnel,
a class A felony.  The crime occurs when a person attempts to
kill or cause serious physical injury to an employee of any jail,
prison, sexual offender treatment center, or other correctional
facility.
