HB 963 -- Drug Prescriptions

Sponsor:  Burnett

This bill requires licensed practitioners who are authorized to
prescribe controlled substances to issue all written
prescriptions that:

(1)  Are legibly printed or typed;

(2)  Contain the name of the prescribing practitioner; the name,
strength, and quantity of the prescribed drug; and directions for
using the drug;

(3)  Are dated with the month written in textual letters; and

(4)  Are signed by the prescribing practitioner on the day
issued.
