HB 979 -- Resisting Arrest

Under current law, it is a class D felony to resist an arrest by
fleeing in a manner that creates a substantial risk of serious
physical injury or death.  This bill clarifies that the crime
also occurs when the person is fleeing from a detention or stop
by a law enforcement officer.
