HB 983 -- Possession of a Controlled Substance

Sponsor:  Baker

This bill creates the crime of being under the influence of a
controlled substance.  The crime is a class A misdemeanor.
Current law prohibits the possession, purchase, distribution, or
manufacture of a controlled substance, but not being under the
influence.
