AN ACT
Relating to requirements for persons administering injections.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section 1. 1. No drug or medication shall be administered to any patient or individual by injection for a fee unless it is administered by a person currently licensed by the state board of registration for the healing arts whose scope of practice includes the administration of drugs or medication by injection.
2. Nothing in this section shall be construed as prohibiting:
(1) The self-administration of drugs or medications by injection; or
(2) The administration of drugs or medications by injection in the patient's or individual's home by a family member, friend, or other person not licensed by the state board of registration for the healing arts with the consent of such patient or individual and if such family member, friend, or person does not receive any monetary remuneration.
