AN ACT

To amend chapter 51, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to compensation for additional duties of county clerks.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 51, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 51.283, to read as follows:

            51.283. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the county clerk in each county shall receive additional compensation of seven thousand five hundred dollars annually for duties performed in compliance with the Help America Vote Act of 2002.
