AN ACT

To amend chapter 379, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to property insurance.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 379, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 379.135, to read as follows:

            379.135. No insurer offering property insurance policies in this state shall increase its premium rates for the same coverage under any such property insurance policy by more than twenty-five percent in any one calendar year. Such limitation on premium rate increases shall not apply if physical changes in the property insured increase the hazards originally insured.
