AN ACT
To amend chapter 135, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to enterprise zones.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 135, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 135.221, to read as follows:
135.221. In addition to the number of enterprise zones authorized by the provisions of this chapter the department of economic development shall designate one such zone in every city of the fourth classification with more than thirteen thousand six hundred but less than thirteen thousand eight hundred inhabitants which shall have boundaries abutting an international airport and an interstate highway with specific boundaries to be determined by the department of economic development in conjunction with the governing authority of the city. Such designation shall only be made if the area in the city which is to be included in the enterprise zone meets all the requirements of section 135.205.
