Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 571, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 571.042, to read as follows:
571.042. 1. If any armored car crew member employed by an armored car company in this state has a valid permit or license issued by any political subdivision of this state which allows that crew member to carry concealable firearms, then such crew member, while acting in the services of such company, shall be entitled to lawfully carry any concealable firearm to which that permit or license relates within any political subdivision of this state.
2. The department of public safety shall establish minimum firearm safety training requirements for armored car crew members who carry concealeable firearms which shall not exceed the firearm training imposed on a peace officer standards and training (P.O.S.T.) commissioned officer of a county of the first classification.
3. No permit or license to carry concealeable weapons issued to any armored car crew member by any political subdivision of this state shall be valid unless the armored car crew member to whom the permit or license was issued was required to meet the minimum firearm safety training requirements specified in subsection 2 of this section prior to receiving such permit or license.
