AN ACT

To amend chapters 168, 172, and 174, RSMo, by adding thereto three new sections relating to teachers and administrative employees.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapters 168, 172, and 174, RSMo, are amended by adding thereto three new sections, to be known as sections 168.320, 172.315, and 174.345, RSMo, to read as follows:

            168.320. Public school teachers and administrative employees shall be permitted to hold public office while they are employed by public school districts of this state.

            172.315. Teachers and administrative employees shall be permitted to hold public office while they are employed by the university.

            174.345. Teachers and administrative employees shall be permitted to hold public office while they are employed by any state-supported institution of higher education of this state.
